TS, HLS  Precision Spindles for Image Projections

GMN - scanner spindle motors provide the sharpest images that are required for today’s projection standards. Laser beams are deflected off precise rotating mirrors attached to the GMN spindle, that make them suitable for all types of image projection, a prime example would be to expose light sensitive materials. The spindles must meet the highest standards of precise rotational accuracy, exact operating speed, and noise levels. When interfaced with the proper electronic controls the speed deviation will be no greater than 0.5 x 10-5. Depending on the requirements and the customer’s specifications, the spindles are mounted on roller or air bearings.

The ball bearings are internally produced and have been specially developed and designed for these application. Speeds of up to 100.000 rpm are possible with the air bearings. With static air bearings, a supply of clean compressed air is required, while the dynamic air bearing generates the required pressure from the geometry of its components. The quality of the precision spindles for image projection produced in Nuremberg by Paul Müller GmbH & Co. Is based on more than 10 years experience in the field of scanner motor production and more than 5 years experience in the field of drum type scanners for the high-end sector.
